Simon Peter SLUSSER was s/o John H. SLUSSER and Rosannah E. ZIESLER. He was born 18 May 1881, Wapwallopen, Luzerne Co., PA; died 29 Sep 1920, Altoona, Blair Co., PA. His obituary:

SIMON P. SLUSSER, A resident of Horrell, Frankstown township, died yesterday afternoon at the Mercy hospital, death being due to peritonitis following an operation for appendicitis which he underwent two weeks ago. He was a son of John and Rose Slusser of Horrell, was born at Wapwallopen, Luzerne county, and was aged 36 years. He had resided in this county fo the past eighteen years and was employed at the plant of teh Standard Powder company at Horrell. Besides his parents, he is suvived by his wife and a daughter, Dorothy, also by three sisters and two brothes: Mrs. S.H. Hofshue of St. Clair, Pa.; Mrs. H.F. Embrick of 506 Fifth avenue, this city; Mrs. Jacob Kendig of Berwick; James Slusser of Williamsburg and Richard of Oneonta, N.Y. The funeral services will be held this evening at 8 o'clock at the Otto G. Gilden funeral home, Eighth avenue and Fourteenth street. The body will be taken to Wapwallopen on the Lehigh Valley express at [illegible] tomorrow at noon for interment.
