Shirley Annette (Hendrix) Funk, age 84, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 8:52 pm Monday, November 2, 2020, at her home.

There are no services planned at this time.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Shirley was born on June 19, 1936, in Avondale Estates, GA the daughter of Alfred and Nora (Love) Hendrix.

She was united in marriage to Deane O. Funk on May 10, 1956, in Tucson, AZ. He preceded her in death April 4, 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Lee Arnold (Kevin Alan) of Hannibal, MO, and Lorri Deana Grimes (Herb) of Hannibal, MO; two grandsons, Jacob Alan Grimes (Molly) and Shane Matthew Grimes; two granddaughters, Leigha Annette Sronce (Sebastian) and Meghan Rhianne Wheeler (Trevor); one great grandson, Lucas Alan Grimes, one brother, George Hoyt Hendrix and seven sisters; Barbara Moats, Frieda King, Farris Dwinnell, Maxine Williams, Carol Tatman, Janice Gordon and Phyllis Binns.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Cecil Hendrix and Alfred Hendrix and sister, Gloria Bradler.

Shirley graduated from Tucson High School in 1955, and went on to further her education in cosmetology.

Mrs. Funk worked as a beautician before her retirement.

Shirley spent much of her free time painting, sewing and doing arts and crafts. She felt truly happy when giving gifts, sending cards to her family, friends and people who worked in the service field. Shirley's biggest love was the time spent with her family.
