Helen J. Butcher, 82 of Gosport, died at her residence on Sunday, May 28, 2006. She was born in Tulip, IN, February 1, 1924 to Lee Smith and Lizzy (Norris) Smith Owens. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Cloverdale Nursing Home. She was also a member of the Bible Baptist Church on State Highway 231 North. She is survived by her husband Johnnie Butcher, three sons Kenneth P. (Mary) Blaker of Jamestown, Zane (Brenda) Butcher of Xenia, OH, Gary (Robin) Butcher of Bloomington, one brother Dewey Norris of Indiana, and a twin sister Ellen Abrams of Bloomfield, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Blaker, two brothers Lee Smith and Orville Norris. Services will be held Friday, June 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, with burial to follow at Hudson Hill Cemetery.
