Irene Little, 81, of Long Fork of Virgie, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Mountain View Health Care, Elkhorn City.
She was born in Pike County, March 25, 1926, a daughter of the late Ballard and Lina Elswick Little.
She was a homemaker and of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Millis Little and Alvin Hampton; and seven sisters, Della Tackett, Draxie Hall, Mancie Tackett, Luenda Burke, Ocha Little, Mattie Lee Little and Maxie Little.
She is survived by one sister, Allowean Little of Elkhorn Creek.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in the Hall & Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Hampton, James Tackett, Dewey Roberts and Teddy Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Amil Little Cemetery, Long Fork of Virgie. Arrangements are under direction of Hall & Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Special services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.
