Born in Laurens County, SC; daughter of the late George and Viola "Ola" Knighton Godfrey and the widow of George Mitchell Lankford.
Survivors include her four grandchildren, Mandy Loveridge, Jennifer Lankford, Crystal Price, Dewayne Glover; four great-grandchildren, Jayce Loveridge, Matthew Lankford, Maddox Loveridge, and John Price; one brother Robert “Cowboy” Godfrey and one daughter in law, Debra Lankford.
Predeceased by two sons, John Mitchell Lankford (26 Jun 1964 – 2 Sep 2013) and James David Lankford (28 Aug 1966 – 8 Oct 2009); and a grandchild, Tyler Lankford.
Visitation was held from 1:00 - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Forest Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Service followed at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Carrol Caldwell; interment in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
