Mr. Brandow was known as "Blue Boy" as a child in Athens, NY. He was the head engineer on the New York - Buffalo passenger train. He suffered a heart attack while working and luckily had time to stop the train at Croton, NY. He was rushed to a doctor, but died shortly thereafter. He was survived by his wife; two sisters, Mrs. John Slattery and Mrs. Edward Brady and a brother William F. Brandow all of Athens, NY.
