Age 98, of Edina, MN passed away peacefully October 29th, 2020. Mildred was born in a farming community outside Pelican Rapids. Growing up, Mildred was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. Mildred graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. Mildred got her teaching degree from Moorhead State University and taught school in the Fergus Falls, MN School District. Mildred married Warren A. Martinson on August 12, 1950. Later in life, after having children, Mildred had an almost 40-year career at Dayton’s (now Macy’s) working as a retail salesclerk. Mildred was a member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis for almost 70 years.
Preceded in death by her husband Warren Martinson, parents Henry and Alette Johnson, her siblings Norma Jacobson, Lillian Rankin, Herbert Johnson, and nephew Dean Johnson.
