Mary Magdeline "Maggie" Wolfe was born in Jackson County, Tennessee to a Ken Wolfe and currently unknown mother. She first married William Shirley Dockery (born 6 October 1862 in Jackson County, TN - died 5 June 1942 in White County. They were married 16 May 1891 in Jackson County, and were the parents of Logan Sidney Dockery, James Robert "Bob" Dockery, Susie Elizabeth (Dockery) Eller, and Jesse Earle Dockery. After William's death, Maggie married Matthew "Matt" Steele, the son of Allen and Nancy (Elrod) Steele, in White County on 2 February 1946. Matthew was born 15 September 1873 in White County, and died 24 September 1949. He is buried at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery with his first wife, Susie (Watson) Steele. Maggie was buried at Mount Gilead Cemetery, according to her death certificate, with William Shirley Dockery.
