TEMPE – Services for Mrs. Cordelia Inez Baty, 55, of 2421 S. Terrace Road, who died Wednesday in Mesa Southside Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Tempe Mortuary Chapel, 405 E. Southern. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery.
Born in Brownwood, Tex., Mrs. Baty was a graduate of Brownwood High School and the Phoenix Union Practical Nursing School. She had worked as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Mrs. Batty moved to Phoenix from El Paso, Tex., in 1953 and came to Tempe in 1963. She was a member of the Christ Chapel Methodist Church here and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge in El Paso and the Tempe Republican Women’s Club.
Survivors include her husband, Ace M.; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Wagner of Scottsdale; one son, Ace M. Jr. of Flagstaff; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Finnis Herring of Brownwood; a sister, Mrs. Bill Braswell of Chandler; two sisters and two brothers out of state; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 10 p.m. today at the chapel.
