Martha Georgia (Head) Boshers was born on August 12, 1881 in Robertson County, Tennessee, the daughter of George Washington Head (1859–1920) and Rose Ann (Pentecost) Head (1859–1940).

She was married on December 8, 1928 in Davidson County as the 2nd wife of Andrew Jackson "Jack" Boshers (1875–1971), the son of Andrew Jackson Boshears (1846–1916) and Mary Frances (Bell) Boshears (1845–1917).

Living at 1222 4th Avenue North in Nashville, Martha was 79 years old and married when she had a stroke and died on February 21, 1961 at Davidson County Hospital, where she had been for 36 days.

Survivors included her husband Andrew, stepdaughters Mrs Tom Edison and Mrs Myrtle Bradshaw, stepsons Edwin Boshers and Jack Boshers, her brother Hubert Head, seventeen stepgrandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. {It is noted that Martha's obituary lists her survivors as though they were actually her own children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but that is incorrect: Martha had no children of her own, and these children were ALSO named as children in the published obituary of Jack's 1st wife Mary Della (Johnson) Boshears (1882–1928).}

Funeral Services were held at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home on February 234d, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.

Much of the above is from her Death Certificate, with Andrew J Boshers as the informant. Additional info is from her published obituary in Nashville Banner on February 22, 1961.
