Sadie Christine McAbee Burns, 73, of St. Stephen, SC, died Wednesday morning in a Johns Island nursing home.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 31, 2020, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 pm on Saturday. Mrs. Burns was born April 12, 1947, in Greenville, SC, a daughter of Terry McAbee, Sr. and Lila Mae Smith McAbee. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Burns enjoyed cooking, reading, and collecting what-not’s, but most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 54 plus years, Joseph David Burns; a daughter, Sherry Denise Burns Craven, of St. Stephen; a son, David Burns and his wife Peggy, of Eutawville; a brother, Billy McAbee and his wife Mickey, of Ft. Myers, FL.; eight grandchildren, Ashley Burns, Joey Craven, Belinda Craven, Heather Thomaston, DJ Burns, and Joseph Burns; and ten great grandchildren.
