Funeral services were to be held this afternoon for Frieda M. Determan, 84, a resident of the Madison County Nursing Home for the' past nine years and formerly a resident of 624 Hill Lane.Mrs. Determan died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 1978, in Oliver C. Anderson Hospital in Maryville, where she had been
a patient for five days.She was born on Sept. 25,1893, in Wartburg, a daughter of the late Carl and Emlie Limbaeh Scheibe. She was married to August F. Determan on Jan. 20, 1918, in Carpenter.
Her husband died on June 10,1965.Surviving are sons Karl Mason and Raymond Determan
of Edwardsville, Homan Mason of Roxana, and stepson Ervin Determan of Edwardsville;daughters Mrs. Charles (Viola) Glaser of Edwardsville, Mrs.Joseph (Bernice) Hordesky of Granite City and Mrs. Doris
Asr of Edwardsville, and stepdaughter Mrs. Arthur (Clara)Johnson, also of Edwardsville.Also surviving are 13-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.One son, one daughter,one grandson, three brothers
and three sisters preceded her in death.Mrs. Determan was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church'in Edwardsville.Casketbearers at today's funeral service were Carl Lee Mason,Michael Mason, Larry Determan,Tommy Ash, Marty Siglocfc and Charles Glaser.Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Carl Aufdemberge,pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated.The Weber Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
