Graduated Cotton Center, Texas 1948. Graduated from West Texas State University in 1952 with Bachelor's degree then started teaching at Denver City, Texas... Recieved her Master's degree in Art in 1961 from West Texas State University ...taught at Denver City for 30 years. Married Cletus C Lewis Nov, 21, 1973 at her parent's home .. . only family in attendance. She and Cletus bought a farm close to Seminole and built a house. She continued to do art and enjoy her wildflowers. She met Cletus C Lewis when they were both teaching at Denver City, Texas. They married in her parent's house November 21, 1973. They enjoyed traveling and farming and she still did her painting and mosaics. Her husband preceded her in death in January 2004. She passed with a niece and several nephews remaining along with several great nieces and nephews and even more great great's. She Passed away in her home with Hospice care. Two family members were with her when she passed. She was cremated per her request.
