Born March 14, 2022 in Omega, Mr. Mallory was the son of the late John B. Mallory, Sr. and Nelle Smoak Mallory. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lawson Smith Mallory; two sisters, Sarah Mallory Flynn and Dorothy Mallory Taylor; one brother, Roger Mallory; and two step-sons, Buddy Smith and Dan Smith. Before retiring, he was a salesman for William Brothers Grocery in Tifton. He served in the South Pacific during World War II in the United States Navy and he was a member of Tifton’s First United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Christian Covenant Sunday School Class. He was a life-long resident of Tift County.
Mr. Mallory is survived by his step-daughter, Joann Smith Dill (Roger); one step-granddaughter, Tracy Dill Whitesides, (Lee); two step-great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews, who were dedicated to his welfare and included him in all family activities.
