LYNDON- John W. Abbadusky, 74, of Lyndon, died Saturday morning, Nov. 12, 2016, at home, surrounded by his family.

Born Jan. 26, 1942, in Monmouth, he was a son of Forrest and Elsie (Kline) Abbadusky. He married Judy Pinney in 1961. He later married Beth Detra in 1966.

He worked for Pemberthy in Prophetstown for 25 years. John was a member of Rock River Valley Barbershoppers and 1st Congregational Church in Prophetstown; and enjoyed garage sales, flea markets, music, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Beth of Lyndon; daughters, Leisa (Curt) Coburn of Dunlap and Amy (Chris) McCombs of Clinton, Iowa; sons, Tim (Victoria) Abbadusky of Dunlap and Andrew Abbadusky of Erie; and eight grandchildren, Aaron, Andre, Olivia, Emily, Gabe, Samantha, Nathan, and Mackenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Art, Ed, and Mel.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday followed the memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church in Prophetstown with Andy Ploenzke, pastor, officiating. McDonald Funeral Home in Prophetstown is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
