Julia Mae Brown age 76, of Elgin, passed away, Tueday, March 27, 2007.
Ms. Brown was born October 5, 1930 in Arkansas to Eli and Eva Simons.She was a resident of Bastrop County for 58 years and was a rancher.
She is preceded by her husband Ray Calvin Woods, Sidney Lester Crawford and Vernon W. Brown and a son Calvin Woods.
She is survived by her son Sam Woods and wife Gerri, stepchildren and spouses, Alma M. " Donna" Plummer, Sandra Brown, Jack and Judy Morgan. Bill and Pat Brown, Ric and Kathy Brown, Bobby and Marie Brown, David and Linda Brown, Tony and Julie Brown, brother Leo Simons, Leon Simons, Larry Simons and William Simons, sisters Betty Smith, Dora Smith, Joann Smith and Bobbie Lou Woods, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. A Visition will be held Friday, March 30, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Young's Prairie Cemetery near Elgin.
