Born in Rutherford County, NC; son of Claude Duckery Baldwin and Carrie Conner Baldwin.
Worked at PPG for 40 years; enjoyed working on old cars, going to sales, had many friends, and was known far and wide.
Survivors include his sons David (Celeste) Baldwin, Dwayne (Joy) Baldwin, Todd Baldwin, and Justin Smith; sister Jo Ann (Don) Peeler; grandchildren, Lauren (Tommy) Sparks, Brooke (Tim) Reen, Tyler (Jordan) Baldwin, and Memphis Smith.
Preceded in death by his ex-wife, Frances Jean Bostic Baldwin (1938–2007); son, Bobby Darnell Baldwin (1959–1959); and a sister, Grace "Geraldine" Baldwin Packer (1940–1993).
Lie in state from 3:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2020, for public visitation at Eggers Funeral Home in Cliffside.
A private service was held by the family with Dr. Mack Tester and Reverend Ted Blankenship officiating.
