Virgil Vaughn File, 64 years, passed away of a heart attack on Thursday afternoon, September 24, 1959, at Seventh Street and Minnesota in Kansas City, Kansas, while on the way to the doctor's office. He made his home at of 3028 North 16th in Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. File retired in March because of ill health as a truck driver for Armour & Company where he had been employed 34 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 933 and of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. File was a veteran of World War I.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine File; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Helton of 933 Riverview, Mrs. Viola Moppin of 305 South Tenth and Mrs. Marion Lippold of Crystal Lake, Ill., and four sons, Virgil Vaughn File Jr. of 1361 Lathrop, William File of 933 Riverview, Robert File with the U.S. Coast Guard in Greenland and Clarence File of the home.

The family received friends at the R. A. Fulton Funeral Home, where services were held at the Fulton Chapel. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
