I have been unable to find any further info regarding his later life; the information I have gathered is verbal, from his son Franklin (my father, also pictured with Lawrence), who has been known to embellish a story now and again. His last recollection of what happened to his father is that he was cremated and the ashes were scattered 'on a mountain somewhere'--no clue as to even the state, but Virginia would be a logical guess.
