RIVERDALE - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Janice Boulter, 82, passed away on February 23, 2014, in South Ogden. She was born October 24, 1931, in Fielding, Utah to Leo E. and Esther M. Walker Coombs. She attended Box Elder County Schools and graduated from Bear River High.
Janice was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and The Red Hat Ladies. She also volunteered at the Riverdale Senior Center. She enjoyed crafts, making macrame chairs, and catering large events. She enjoyed being of service to others.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori Andreason of Evanston, WY, and Anne (Randy) Lansing of So. Weber, UT; grandchildren, Steven, Jeff (Traci), Mackenzie (Brandon), Colton (Tana), Branden (Danna), and Derek (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Jordon, Kyren, Taelynn, Mason, Julien, Sebastian, and Caleb. She is also survived by two sisters, Jeanne Merrifield, and Linda Whitney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Stephen Hansen and Brent Allred; brothers, Kent Coombs, and Dee Coombs and sister, Kris Walker.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Pineview Rehabilitation Center for their love and tenderness, and to Dr. Joseph Graham, Wendy Douglas, and their staff.
A Celebration of Jan's life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Riverdale Estates Clubhouse, 5100 S. 1050 W., Riverdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Childrens Intermountain Unit.
