Manuel “Angel” Cortez
Angel was born 5/18/1972 in Coalinga, CA to Gilberto and Estella Cortez. They moved to Lost Hills, Ca in 1973. He graduated from Wasco High in 1990. Angel married the love of his life Kelli Cortez 9/25/2010. He worked for Wasco State Prison for 18yrs. He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Shafter, CA. He coached youth football for 3 yrs in Lost Hills. He helped with the Shafter Quakes basketball team. He was able to be an extra in the tv show Speechless.
He has 2 son’s Augustine and his wife, Joanna Cruz and Angel Cortez. Angel is a grandfather to Lucas, Devin and Aaliyah. Brother to Elida and her husband Margarito Avila, Jorge and his wife Andrea Rocha, and Gilberto and his wife Vanessa Cortez. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Angel passed away with his wife and son by his side 10/18/2020 in Pasadena, CA
