Lydia Joan Laux Branch, age 88, died peacefully at her home with family by her side on October 19, 2020.
She was born July 8, 1932, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to the late George Theodore and Linnie Josephine Hatley Laux.
Lydia was a faithful member of the Camden church of Christ.
Lydia touched many lives in Benton County, and was the achiever of numerous outstanding awards.
She worked in Benton County Education for more than 52 years. She did substitute teaching until she was 81.
She was a true caregiver of many, and took the responsibility to help rear her own brothers and sisters after their parent’s death.

She is survived by:
Son, George David (Marlina) Branch, and daughter Carol Lea Branch of Camden, TN
Grandchildren Kelsey Jane (Justin) Mathis, Allyson Faye Branch, Angela Tiffany Moss, Kimberly Christian (Jason) Conn, Candace Howe Wright & Matthew Brandon Puckett. Great
Grandchildren Ethan Howe, Lea Prince, Braden Prince, Taylor Conn, Peyton Conn, Jackson Conn, Maxis Mathis
Brother: Andrew Lee Laux of Anchorage, Alaska
Sisters: Mary Josephine Medlin of Camden, TN and Nancy Linnie Cagle of Pikeville, TN

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was former husband Billy George Branch and a daughter Linda Joan Branch Moss. Brothers: George Allen Laux, Robert Emmett Laux, Donald Hugh Laux and Sister Queenie Jean Laux Gilliland. Brother-in-laws Harold Dean Gilliland and Bud Medlin, Sister-in-law Pearl Hardin Laux.

Services will be held Saturday October 24, 2020, at Plunk Funeral Home, Camden TN, with minister Paul Cagle. Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm and services following at 1 pm. Burial will be at Eastview Cemetery Camden, TN.
