She was born June 12, 1937 in Hickory Flat, Arkansas to Lem B. and Sarah “Lady”
(Yingling) King. She was raised in Providence. Upon her graduation from High School, she went to work for the Arkansas Soil Conservation Service. Her entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic led her to open a salon, Mayfair Coiffures, in downtown Searcy in 1972. It was successful for many years. Deanna retired and moved to Batesville, Arkansas with her husband, Max Sullivan, in 1999. She became an active member of Batesville First Nazarene Church. Deanna was a stylish lady and devoted wife and mother, who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a talented home cook and gardener, who enjoyed growing beautiful roses, tropical plants and vegetables.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Scheidweiler and son-in-law, Fritz; her son,
Todd Weber; grandchildren Jordan Hegarty and Victoria Reynolds; four
great-grandchildren and a brother, Sid King.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max; and brother, Lynn
Roe King.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct 12 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob with services to begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery
