He moved to Cleveland, OH to work for Phoenix Dye Works as a master dyer and superintendent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Reed); son Barry; and cousin; David Higgins. Surviving are his second wife, Nancy (Fields); sons, Brian (Cheri Justice), Bruce (Sue), and Brad (Leslie); grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Andrew, Emily, James, and Kaitlin Hannum (Kevin); and great-grandson, Colin.
