He was a lifelong resident of Rutledge, a farmer for many years and took great pride in his work and helping others. He was a born storyteller and loved talking about family history. One of his great joys was spending time with his granddaughter, Anna. He was of the Baptist faith, having a great love for God, and a member of Helton Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Berry James; and his parents, Charlie and Ruby Foster James.
Hack is survived by his daughter, Lori James; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Stacy James; a very special granddaughter, Anna; sisters, Lucy James and Bobbie Woods; nieces, Susie (Bill) Ipock and Amy (Andrew) Moore; and too many friends to count.
Friends and family may drop by Smith-Reagan Funeral Home at their convenience on Thursday, October 22, 2020, between 12:00 – 5:00pm.
Graveside services will be 11:00am, Friday, October 23, 2020, at Helton Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
