This is the Iowa Death Report for George M Barnes, an 82 yr. old gentleman born Dec. 21 1846 in Des Moines, Polk Co., Ia. He was married to Mrs. Josephine Barnes who was also the informant for this report. His father was Orlando Barnes and mother Solama Moon who were both born in New York. His occupation was that of a harness maker which he had done throughout his life. George died Sep. 22, 1929 following treatment from July 7, 1929 thru Sep. 21, 1929 when he finally succomed. He had Diabetes Mellitis for 7 yrs., and developed the complications of Atherosclerotic heart disease and chronic myocarditis, hypertension, and congestive heart failure. He was to be buried in the Anita Cemetery.
