Frederick Michael Grant, 70, entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2019 in Clermont, Florida. Fred was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 16, 1949, the son of the late Edward and Jane Grant. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 1971 and an MBA from Sacred Heart University in 1982. Fred was ordained as a deacon in the Catholic Church in 1992. After a long and accomplished career in manufacturing in Connecticut, Fred and his wife relocated to Clermont, Florida, where he worked as a teacher at Windy Hill Middle School and Clermont Middle School. A lifelong model railroad enthusiast, swimmer and bicyclist, Fred was also a devoted volunteer firefighter, fire alarm engineer, electrician, and chaplain.
