WATERLOO - Larry A. Alcott, 75, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Covenant Medical Center of heart failure.
He was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Iowa City, son of Forrest E. and Helen Dewater Alcott. He married Marlene Freeland in August 1952 in Waterloo. They later divorced. He then married Maxine M. Neuenkirk on Aug. 6, 1978, in Evansdale.
Mr. Alcott was employed by D.C.S. for IBP Inc.
Survived by: his wife; a son, Michael (Sheila) of Washington state; two daughters, Sherry (John) Alcott and Deanna (Steve) Bridges, both of California; two sisters, Marion (Herb) Wheeler and Linda (Leonard) Wulf, both of Waterloo; four grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
Preceded in death by: two sons, Danny and Dennis; and a brother, Gene.
Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Assembly God, Elk Run Heights, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Neuenkirk-Alcott Announcement is being made of the Saturday marriage of Maxine Mae Neuenkirk and Lawrence Arthur Alcott. The 1:30 p.m. ceremony was recited at Bunger Park, Evansdale., with the Rev. Drexel Mollison of First Congregational Church officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neuenkirk. 306 Elaine Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. C.C. (Pete) Ponte. 4249 Lafayette Road, Evansdale. Mrs. Carleeh Devore served her sister as matron of honor. Best man was Eugene Alcott, brother of the groom. The bride is employed at the Black Hawk County Home. Her husband is employed at Eaton Home Improvement Center. The couple will reside at 2142 Avon Ave., Evansdale.
