Joe Blevins, a resident of Green Forest, AR was born Jan 10, 1917, in Enon, AR, a son of Luke and Minnie (David) Blevins. He departed this life on Friday, October 9, 1998, in Harrison, AR at the age of 81.
Mr. Blevins was a retired dairy and tobacco farmer and of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Tommie Lou Fulton of Omaha, AR, Linda Edwards of Omaha, AR and Mary Woollen of Huntsville, AR, five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. On Sept., 20 1941, Joe Blevins was united in marriage with Ina Irene "Jefferson" Blevins, who precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and five sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to Hilltop Family Council at 202 Tims Ave.; Harrison, AR 72601.
Funeral services were Monday, October 12 at the Nelson Chapel in Green Forest, with interment at the Denver Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Arnold officiating, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
