Mrs. Mary Ruth Garriott Jackson, age 82, of Madison, Indiana formerly of Hanover and Carrollton entered this life on November 25, 1937 in Carrollton, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of Wayne and Clara Margaret Sullivan Garriott. She grew up in Trimble county and then moved to Jefferson county, Indiana in 1969. She married the love of her life in 1954 and this happy union was blessed with two sons, Kenneth Nelson and Dwayne and three daughters, Diana, Teresa, and Luvania. She worked at the Carl and Rachel Abbott Orchard for three years, Hanover Nursing Home as a kitchen worker for five years, and Grote Industries as an assembler for seven years. She was a member of Milton Baptist Church of Milton, Kentucky and the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion Auxilliary. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing Bingo. Mary Ruth died on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 5:15 a.m. at the Water's of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.

Mary Ruth will be missed by her loving daughters, Diana Cyrus and her husband, Benny of Madison, Indiana, Teresa Dean and her companion, Bob Weiand of Madison, Indiana, Luvania "Chunky" Jackson of Madison, Indiana; her son, Dwayne Jackson and his wife, Williena of Hanover, Indiana; her grandchildren, Angela Cyrus, Heather Jackson, Scotty Cyrus, Michael Dean, Terry "Boo" Dean and Jamie Adams; her five great grandchildren; her sisters, Joyce Craig and her husband, Ron of Hanover, Indiana, Barbara Molden and her husband, Ron of Louisville, Kentucky; her brothers, Richard Garriott and his wife, Barbara of Carrollton, Kentucky, Gary Garriott and his companion, Maggie of Carrollton, Kentucky, Paul Garriott and his wife, Bonnie of Heber Springs, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Garriott, her mother, Clara Margaret Sullivan Garriott, her husband, William Francis Jackson, died March 28, 1968, her son, Kenneth Nelson "Bub" Jackson, died December 16, 2014, her brothers, Freddie Garriott and William "Billy" Garriott.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at11:00 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.
