Clyde Edward Kidd, 94, passed away at Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas on October 2, 2020. The son of Glade and Velma Kidd, he was born on May 5, 1926, in the small town of Picher, Oklahoma before moving to Pineville, Missouri where he spent most of his life. Clyde was a 1st Sergeant of the United States Army, serving in action in World War 2 and the Korean War. After the war, Clyde attended school at Salt City Business College, pursing a career in Accounting and Business before falling in love with Auto Repair. Notoriously Clyde was known to make friends through fishing and enjoyed playing billiards competitively.

Clyde is survived by: 3 sons, Mark Kidd, Douglas Kidd, Merle ( Edith) Basnett; 5 daughters, Kelly ( Hal) Curtis, Karel Hess, Joy Moorman, Linda (Gary) Reese, Janice Brauch; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Kidd, his wife Wanda Kidd, his daughter Paula Nelson, and his grandson Tyler Kidd.

A graveside celebration of life with Military Honors will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice House, 1523 East 20th, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501.
