Alexander F. Noce Sr. June 4, 2011 Alexander F. Noce Sr., 89, of Elbridge, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Solvay, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WW II. He proudly served his country at the Battle of the Bulge, serving with the 492nd Fighter Squadron. He was a mechanic for the West Genesee School District for many years before retiring. Alexander was a life member of both Stanley B. Pennock VFW Post 2893 and of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, and was a past communicant of St. Cecilia Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Beardsley; three sons, Alexander Jr. of Memphis, Edward of Fairmount and Gary of Vestal; three daughters, Carol Vryhauf of Fairmount, Juanita Fernandez of Maine and Jacqueline Holbert of Jordan; a sister, Mary DeCirce of Baldwinsville; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. at St. Cecilia Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay Condolences may be offered at www.bagozzitwins.com
