Carl H. Hunt, age 87 of Hesperia, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a short illness. Carl was born on April 8, 1933 in Newfield Township, Oceana County to George Henry and Edna Pearl (Herin) Hunt and later graduated from Hesperia High School. Carl was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. Carl met and later married Lois Ruby Wills on October 13, 1956 in Muskegon and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia and Fremont area. Carl had owned and operated his own apple orchard for many years until his retirement. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family – children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; the farm life and country living and seemed to know everyone wherever he went and always enjoyed visiting with friends.
Carl is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois of Hesperia; his children; his grandchildren,; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Mike "Milo" Hunt, Hugh Hunt, Inez Patterson, Ivan Hunt, Veva Decker and Nina Fox.
Following his wishes, private graveside services will be held at the West Hesperia Cemetery following cremation.
