Newspaper: Dallas Morning News. Date: November 18, 1910. HYMNENEAL. Special to THE NEWS. CASEY-SPEARMAN ~ Greenville, Texas. November 16 - James T. Casey and Miss Winnie Spearman were married yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. The bride is a daughter of Col. and Mrs. Robert F. Spearman and the groom is a son of Rev. E. H. Casey, pastor of the Wesley Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Casey left last evening for a bridal trip to San Antonio.

Marshall, Texas, August 4 - James T. Casey, 42, former District Attorney here, now of Longview, and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben S. Smith of Homer, Lousiana were instantly killed Friday afternoon near Arkadelphia, Arkansas in an automobile accident. Mr. Casey's body will be brought here Saturday for burial. Mr. Casey left Longview Thursday to go to Homer to visit Mr. & Mrs. Smith and all three left Homer in a coupe Friday, supposedly for Hot Springs. The accident was caused by the car leaving the road in loose gravel, turning over and hitting a telephone pole. Mr. Casey was one of the most prominent lawyers in this section. He served as District Attorney during 1923-24 and was a member of the firm of Hall, Scott, Casey & Hall of Marshall for several years. When the East Texas oil field opened, he went to Longview and opened an office. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Allen and Miss Willena Casey, all living here.
