MARSHALL—Services for Waymon P. Alford, 75, formerly of Marshall will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sullivan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Algoma Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Alford died Saturday [May 12] at a Round Rock hospital.
He was born Sept. 6 1908, in Marshall and owned Alford Grocery before retiring in 1974. Mr. Alford attended Marshall public schools and was a member of the Marshall Masonic Lodge No. 22.
Survivors include his sons, Waymon P. Alford Jr. of Houston, John Franklin Alford of Jonestown, Texas, and Donald Ray Alford of Longview; brother, J.A. Alford; sister, Mrs. Janie Jones of Moorcroft, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
