Richard Angus Adams, 74, of Miami, OK, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Richard was born June 3, 1946, in Midland, Texas, to Richard H Adams and Christine Elizabeth (Garvin) Webb. Richard worked as a truck driver and farm supply mechanic for most of his life. He worked hard to take care of his family. He loved old black t-shirts, fishing and western movies, and he enjoyed time with family and friends. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother William "Charlie" Adams, and his granddaughter Harper Jo Adams. We know he is resting easy with them now.
Survivors include his 7 children, Robert McKibben, Douglas McKibben, Victor McKibben, Richie Adams, Billy Adams, Jennifer (Adams) Weakley, and Kenton Adams and their mother Helen Adams, as well as 25 living grandchildren. Surviving siblings include Kerry Freeman, Janda Giles, Jeanetta Bosh, Karla Freeman, and Mike Busby. Richard has a host of extended family, nieces, nephews and friends, including Sheila Childers and Maria Daniels and family.
A private celebration of life will be held for family on Thursday, October 15th. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
