Kathrine "Kathy" (Farnworth) Gollaher
May 11, 1949 ~ October 9, 2020 (age 71)

An Angel gained her wings, peacefully, in her sleep surrounded by her family on October 9, 2020. She was born in Ontario, Oregon, May 11, 1949 to George and Vera Farnworth, as a twin. Her father was a welder so as a child Kathy and her family moved around. Her family settled in Henderson, Nevada; which is where she met AB E-1 Air Force member, Elroy Monroe Gollaher Jr, from Nellis Air Force Base. Where they were later sealed in the St. George Temple January 27, 1968.

The two settled in Washington, Utah, where she lived until her passing. Her family began with the birth of her daughter, then 3 sons later followed. Her family thrived in that small town. Kathy loved to read and was a librarian for almost 9 years, before her family began. She loved to read her bible and world history. Her motto was always “can’t we all just get along”. Kathy was sweet and always pleasure to be around.

Kathy began a business with her twin sister and the two cleaned houses for almost 10 years before she started working as a receptionist for Raindancer Youth Services, which lasted almost 20 years and ending as a company accountant. Kathy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. There she enjoyed being part of the relief society, singing and leading the music for the congregation and she did for many years (when she wasn’t giggling). When the time was right, she retired with her husband and the two traveled around the western region. The two loved to take photos of their travels and loved being together. Family reunions, sisters, children and grandchildren were all apart of her life. She became an instrumental part of the world-wide program for Ancestorial Records, by the LDS Church. Kathy began with extraction program which evolved into indexing, which she did side by side with her husband until his passing in 2013.

Heaven is singing praises of love and devotion as she was preceded in death by her loving husband Elroy, twin sister Kristine, sister Valoy, brother Gary, mother and father George and Vera Farnworth.

Kathy is survived by her sisters; Carolyn and Jamie. Children; Kerrie, George, Joseph and Jason. Grandchildren; Misty, Jenna, Vanessa, Dustin, Melissa, Lucas, Macen, Rosalie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00am at the LDS Washington Stake Center located on 486 E Mangum Rd, Washington, UT 84780. A viewing will be prior to services for 9:30 to 10:45am at the same location. Interment will be in the Washington Utah City Cemetery. www.mcmillanmortuary.com
