Aguinaldo "Aggie" Baca was born in Socorro, NM on April 11, 1927, to Hermelindo and Magdalena (Valenzuela) Baca and passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, a few hundred yards from his birthplace.
After graduating as valedictorian at Socorro High, he became a licensed contractor and skilled carpenter. In 1948 he established, operated and owned the New Mexico Woodworks for the rest of his life.
Aggie an avid sportsman, hunter, and elder of the Presbyterian Church.
Aggie is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Ruth Hodgin Baca, his sons and their wives, Ted (Jan) and Jack (Helen), eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, his sisters, Prescilla, Evangeline and Betty (Jacinto) and many nephews and nieces.
Aggie was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Enedine and five brothers and one sister.
A worship service of Witness to the Resurrection and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro. Honorary Pallbearers will be his past and present friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1155, Socorro, NM 87801 or to Socorro General Hospital Home Health Care, PO Box 1009, Socorro, NM 87801.
