San Antonio Light (San Antonio, Texas)
21 January 1930

SCORES AT FUNERAL
More than one hundred hills folk
gathered at the little graveyard on
top of the hill overlooking Kendalia.
In a few words, Rev. H.T. Com-
mington, pastor of the Methodist
Church at Blanco, said last rites
and the body was lowered into the
grave. Although the wind was almost
freezing cold, the spectators and
mourners remained until the last
shovelful of dirt had been thrown on
the little mound...the fourth
in the cemetery.
