"BILLY RAY McCOY
"Graveside rites for Billy Ray McCoy, 313 C St SE, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Blaine Brim officiating. Fort Sill personnel will provide military honors.
"McCoy, who died Tuesday in an Oklahoma City hospital, was born in Ardmore to Raymond and Thelma Young McCoy.
"An Army veteran of WWII, he served in Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe, and received the Combat Infantry Badge, European-African Mediterranean theater Medal with two Battle Stars, Victory and Good Conduct Medals. He returned here from Oklahoma City in March and opened McCoy Concrete Pipe Co. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of India Temple Shrine, and First Presbyterian Church. He and Mary Jo Walton were married Dec. 23, 1979, at McAllen, Texas.
"Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Craig; daughter, Debbie Rice; and brother, Gene, all of Oklahoma City; a sister, Mary June Tiemann, Midwest City; and five grandchildren.
"Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services."
