Services for Mary F. Garner, 86, Brownsburg, will be Thursday, January 3 at 10 a.m. in Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Rev. Toney Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery, Inc. Mrs. Garner died Monday, December 31 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
A native of Hendricks County, she was born March 30, 1898 to Oliver and Emma Gossett Fordyce. She married Otis Garner who preceded her in death in 1973.
Mrs. Garner, a resident of Brownsburg most of her life, was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star, Brownsburg Chapter. She was a charter member of Brown Township Home Economics Club and Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
Surviving are son, Bill Garner, Brownsburg; daughters, Geraldine Hooksma, Highland and Margie Unger, Texarkanna, Ar; sister, Myrtle Gorrel, Indianapolis; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
