Davis age 17; daughter Sarah Davis, age 10; and an additional son, John C. Davis, age 7--who must have been born after Amos' death.
[Familysearch.org] Per Eliza's CSA widow's pension application in Arkansas dated 16 June 1893, Amos enlisted in Company C, 33rd Regiment of MS and 'continued his service until about 18th day of March 1863 at Brook Haven MS" at which time he died of a disease contracted in service/camp.
