A. WAYNE WICKLIFFE, 77, of Tocsin, Ind., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at his residence. Born Jan. 1, 1930, in Ossian, he was a member of Tocsin Faith Fellowship. He married E. Ruth Manns on June 5, 1949, in Tocsin; she died on Feb. 4, 2007. He worked in plant construction for American Electric Power for 45 years, retiring in 1991. Surviving are his son, Gregory W. (Mary Janet) Wickliffe of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, M. Susan (Alan) Staley of Ossian; brother, Richard "Butch" Wickliffe of Fort Wayne; sister, Marjorie Elzey of Greensburg; and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ross Wickliffe and Mary Confer; and sister, Mildred Krocker. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at The Fountain Community Church, Tocsin, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Mike Wertenberger officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian. Burial in Prairie View Cemetery, Tocsin. Memorials to The Gideons or Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
