La Una Cornelison
La Una Cornelison, one of the outstanding seniors, was born in Erick, Okla., April 5, 1920 but moved to Sayre where she entered the fourth grade.
La Una has been very active in activities during her high school career. When a freshman, La Una lettered in basketball, was a member of the Pep club, Girl Reserve, Glee club, and president of the Home Ec club. In her sophomore year, La Una was a member of the Glee club, Pep club, Girl Reserve, and secretary and treasurer of the Home Ec club. She again was a member of the Pep club, Home Ec club and the Girl Reserve during her junior year. This year La Una is vice-president of Girl Reserve, one of the Pep squad leaders and a member of the Girls Glee club. It may be interesting to note that La Una has been song leader of her class ever since the seventh grade.
La Una's favourite food and color are chocolate pie and blue. Like many movie fans she definitely votes yes for Tyrone Power and Loretta Young. La Una also likes to listen to the radio, her favourite program being the Jello program with Jack Benny and listening to Kenny Baker sing "True Confessions." She likes to cook, sew, dance, and read. La Una has two outstanding dislikes which are catty remarks and deceit.
After graduation, La Una plans to either become a stenographer or take a beauty course.
