Marie Ray, 88, of Amarillo died Saturday, April 2, 2005.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Mrs. Ray was born in Foard County and graduated from Kelton High School in 1933. She graduated from nursing school at St. Anthony's School of Nursing. She married Lex Ray on June 21, 1938, in Amarillo. She lived in Amarillo most of her life and worked as an LVN at St. Anthony's Hospital for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; a daughter, Adell Hampton in 1990; and a son, Tommy Lex Ray in 2003.
Survivors include two grandsons, Brad Langford and wife, Corie, of Amarillo and Michael Ray and wife, Debra, of California; two great-grandsons, Curtis Johnson of Amarillo and Brendon Ray of California.
