After 3 Years' Illness
Mrs. Mary Rose Rice, 68 years of age, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient the last six days. She had been ill for three year. Mrs. Rice had been a resident of this community most of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Price funeral home. The Rev. J. H. Wagner will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
She was born August 5, 1878 in Hamburg, Ia., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Bright, and married Douglas Rice. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Her survivors are one son, Raymond M. Rice, St. Joseph; one brother, A. M. Bright, Conception Junction; one sister, Mrs. Susie Hutchinson, Oaks, Okla., and four grandchildren.
