Novadine Alice Lee Everett

She was a native of Appling County and a daughter of the late Joseph Caleb Lee and Eula Ethel Barnes Lee ; also preceded in death by her siblings:
Lawanna Lee Thornton , (twin brothers) James Thomas Lee and James Henry Lee
At the age of 5 years old , they moved from Appling County to Ware County where her father worked for the Atlantis Coast Line Railroad until he retired .
After retirement Joe and his wife ran the restaurant Creamland .

Mrs. Novadine married Tracy Louis Everett , he was serving in the US Navy afterward they ran their business called 'Tracy's Cleaners' and later Mr. Everett became a Chevron ; owner of T. & R. Oil Company until he retired again. They were members of the Central Baptist Church for over 50 years .

Novadine Lee Everett, 104, of Waycross died Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 15, 2020) at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Mershon, GA to the late James Caleb and Eula Barnes Lee. Ms. Everett lived most of her life in Waycross where she worked alongside her husband in the family’s business, Tracy’s Cleaners. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Louis Everett; two brothers, James Thomas “J.T. Lee and Joseph Henry “J.H.” Lee; one sister, Lawanna Thornton; son-in-law, Reavis Pittman.

Survivors include one daughter, June Everett Pittman of Waycross; two grandchildren, Tracy Pittman (wife Linda) and Renee Giedl (husband Bill) all of Waycross; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Pittman of Valdosta, Lindsay Giedl of Roswell, GA, Chandler Giedl of Tifton, Bennett Pittman of Waycross; one great-great grandson, Blythe; one sister, Patsy Woods of Waycross; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 3 pm at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm at the funeral home.
