Carrie was the daughter of Judge Lucius Otis and his wife Lydia Arnold. Carried married Olin Meacham on January 9, 1872 in Cook County, Illinois. Carrie and Olin had two children, Lucius and Elinor. The family lived in Illinois, but had a summer home in Westbrook, Connecticut.
