Gaylord Lee Seibert, 93, formerly of Galesburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.

Born July 27, 1903, in Galesburg to John W. and Cora Belle Dial Seibert, he married Gladys Everett on Sept. 17, 1924. She died June 6, 1973. He later married Velma Rylander on July 2, 1977, in Galesburg. She died Feb. 25, 1990. He also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Surviving are two sons, G. Charles and Robert W., both of Galesburg.

He worked in the telegraph office of Burlington-Northern Railroad for eight years. He then worked at Victor Casket Hardware Co. for 35 years and then Kanartex Paint Manufacturing for 16 years.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 518 Drill Team for many yearsr.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
