Winifred Bradabe Hayes, 94, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2020 in Littlefield, Texas. She was born April 4th 1926 to Willis Allbritton and Winnie Mary Elizabeth Carroll in Fullbright, Texas.

Known as Toby by those closest to her, she was known for her great stories and contagious laugh. An avid reader and gardener, she was also an excellent cook, a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and very devoted to her family.

She married her sweetheart, Gavin Hayes, on August 7, 1944. while he was serving in the Navy during World War II. After the war ended, Winifred and Gavin moved to Sudan, Texas and had 5 children. In 1968, they moved to Hale Center, Texas. They were members of the Church of Christ.

Winifred was the family matriarch and will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gavin Hayes; daughter, Linda Belcher; grandson, Ronnie Belcher and son-in-law Curtis Archer. She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Archer, Kathy Eddings and husband, Richard; Janna Gage and husband, Terry; son, Randy Hayes and wife, Susan. Winifred was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held on October 1, 2020 at Resthaven Cemetery with Silas Short officiating. Winifred will be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter. Arrangements are under the personal care of Agape Funeral Chapel.
